Description
The three routes will all start and finish in the same location at Castle Square, Caernarfon. All routes will depart the square along St Helen’s Road and follow the Foryd to Saron. Riders will then join the main A4085 and follow the old road to Groeslon and Penygroes. At Penygroes the route will turn left and follow the Nantlle valley and over Drws y Coed Hill Climb Time Trial to Rhyd Ddu. A right turn will take riders to Beddgelert, where the Etape Bach route will turn left and climb Nant Gwynant to Pen y Gwryd, turn, over the Llanberis Pass and descent to Llanrug. A final 'sting in the tail' will take you over Ceunant to Waunfawr, descend to Caeathro, turn left to Bontnewydd and return to Caernarfon. You will finish by cycling back along St Helen's Road and enjoy circumnavigating the castle on your way back to the finish line on the castle square.
